Ilene Bezahler over at our new favorite magazine, Edible Boston, reported in with the following news about the humane veal project being run by Tufts University, Azulana. If you've always loved veal but hated buying into a cruel enterprise, here's you chance to eat well and do good at the same time...

In the summer issue of Edible Boston we covered a wonderful project coming out of Tufts University, Azuluna Brands. On January 29th, the public will have an opportunity to learn more about the program at a benefit dinner for the school.
The event will take place at Tomasso Trattoria in Southborough, MA. Guests are invited to a four course wine dinner with naturally raised, milk-fed Azuluna veal. Azuluna Project Leader, Dr. George Saperstein of the Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in North Grafton, Mass., will speak about how the program was developed, chef tested, and brought to market to the benefit of the environment, animal welfare, food safety/security, nutrition, local small family farm economic stability, public health and consumer choice.
To read more about Azulana Brands go to see our article from this summer.
All proceeds for the $100 per person dinner (plus tax and gratuity) will go to nutrition and fitness programs at Tufts University. Space is limited so please reserve as soon as possible by calling 508-481-8484.
