10/23 Game Dinner at Craigie Street!

Farm-Fresh Funky Feeding Frenzy series continues with the...
"Let the Game Begin" Dinner

Our perfectionist Chef Tony Maws is busily badgering (no pun intended) farmers and suppliers to secure their most transcendent specimens of squab, wild boar, and venison. The foragers have been instructed to scour local forests for only the most perfect mushrooms. The farmers have been cajoled into reserving the most flawless fall vegetables for our exclusive use. Chef Maws is burning up international calling minutes as he contacts Scottish purveyors about the possibility of a few especially choice wild game selections. And we are tasting new wines from our purveyors that are big, bold and unusual enough to stand up to game and our special blend of elegance and funkiness.

Appetizers: Consomme of smoked wild game birds with forest mushrooms and crispy pork jowls
Rillettes of Wild Boar
Entrees: Venison, Pheasant, Squab, (Note: a fish option will also be available)
Seasonal Accompaniments: parsnips, forest mushrooms, parsley root, potatoes
Desserts: Pumpkin Pain Perdu, Gingerbread - both with our home made ice creams

Obviously everything will be humanely raised, farm-fresh, and organic - standing firmly behind our Craigie Street mission. At Craigie Street Bistrot, there is no need to choose between eating right and feeling right. At our "Let the Game Begin" dinner you can do both! We look forward to seeing you then.
